As an Electrical Engineer at Ispire, you will play apivotal role in shaping our product vision, driving innovation, and delivering industry-leading solutions to our customers.
Role Description:
As an Electrical Engineer, your role will be focused on designing and developing innovative products bringing product designexperience with expertise in component selection, PCB design, basic firmware design, verification and quick turn prototypingof electrical subcomponents.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles, PCB CADschematic and layout software proficiency, validation and practical experience in prototype development, including electronicsand firmware design.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, marketing, and productmanagers to ensure that our product designs align with business goals and market trends.
Additionally, you will play a key rolein driving innovation by keeping up-to-date with industry standards and emerging design technologies.
Responsibilities:
o Design and develop electrical systems for new products, including hardware selection, circuit design, schematiccapture, and PCB layout.
o Develop basic prototype firmware to integrate electrical and software components for optimal performance.
o Perform test and validation activities to ensure all electrical systems meet design specifications and quality.
o Troubleshoot and debug electrical issues during product development and production phases.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturingteams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into the overall design.
o Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to select components and materials for the electrical systems whileconsidering cost-effectiveness and quality.
o Conduct quick turn prototyping to test and evaluate product designs, making necessary adjustments.
o Stay up-to-date with industry trends/best practices in electrical engineering, firmware, and validation.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
? Minimum 7 years of experience in the design, development, and validation of electrical systems.
? Proficiency in using CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium Designer, OrCAD or similar).
? Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles, including experience with microcontrollers,sensors, RF, power management circuits? Experience with firmware development using programming languages such as C/C+
or Python.
? Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electrical product design (e.
g.
, UL safety, EMI emissionstandards).
? Hands-on experience with lab equipment for testing and validation purposes (oscilloscopes, multimeters, functiongenerators).
? Proficiency in programming languages used for firmware development (C/C++, Python).
? Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
? Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
