Senior Sales Engineer - North Eastern

About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Engineer who will be a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the sales team in the North Eastern Region. The Sales Engineer (SE) will be responsible for positioning and selling Signal Sciences' web application security hybrid SaaS solution to large enterprise customers.
About You
Successful candidates must exhibit strong leadership and communication skills who can identify underlying business drivers and requirements and address them accordingly. Candidates should have 7+ years of experience in roles that require direct technical customer interaction, such as Sales Engineering, Professional Services, or Solutions Engineering background.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customers' needs/requirements
Support customers through pre-sales technical questions and production installs
Provide strong leadership, vision, and direction for technical field organization
Maintain a Subject Matter Expert level of knowledge of Signal Sciences' solutions while staying current in understanding the competitive landscape and industry trends
Establish policies, processes, and procedures that will ensure revenue growth and an educated field team
Convey customer requirements to Product and Engineering teams
Ability to travel throughout sales territory for prospect, customer, and partner meetings and events
Requirements
7+ years of software selling experience, SaaS experience preferred
Experience selling to VP and C-level executives
Consistent success delivering above and beyond $1.5M + quota
Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles using value-based selling approach
Ability to travel within territory as required
Attuned to running productive, efficient meetings and presentations, both virtual and in-person
Diligent salesforce.com user for data accuracy hygiene
BS degree, continuing education preferred
Qualifications
Innovative and results driven senior sales engineer with 7+ years of sales/solutions engineering or professional services experience preferably with a security focus
Experience with some or all of the following foundational technologies: WAF/RASP; SaaS/Cloud or hybrid cloud deployments; Apache/Nginx or other web server platforms and associated Application server technologies and frameworks
Unix/LInux systems administration and scripting/coding experience
Proven track record of success, driving revenue growth against quota, and increased profitability in complex security sales to Fortune 500 clients
Entrepreneurial, self-directed with a passion to succeed
A creative, out of the box thinker
Analytical and metrics driven through all stages of the sales cycle
Experience running complex proof-of-concept (POC) trials
Excellent written and oral business communication skills
Excellent project management skills
Ability to work remotely and collaborate with geographically dispersed team
Nice to have
Care about contributing to an amazing work culture and environment
Are comfortable with the rapid, unpredictable nature of a tech startup
Are comfortable taking on additional responsibilities as needs arise

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
