Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist

Beacon Resources, on behalf of a well-established entertainment health and fitness company in Venice, California, seeks an Accounts Payable (A/P) specialist on a direct hire basis.


Job You will be responsible for all A/P duties for the company. You will match, batch, and code invoices. You will be expected to process up to five hundred (500) invoices per week.

Salary- Starts at $45,000/year, and increases DOE.


ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (A/P) SPECIALIST DUTIES



  • Match, batch, and code invoices

  • Maintain vendor files

  • Ensure accurate processing of invoices by eliminating possibility of duplicate payments

  • Work with vendors to resolve any payment problems

  • Suggest any ways to improve the A/P process

  • Accept any other ad hoc accounting duties as assigned


ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (A/P) SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)



  • At least three (3) years experience in Accounts Payable


ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (A/P) SPECIALIST SKILLS (REQUIRED)


Technical



  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and IF formulas)

  • Proficiency in a major ERP system


Personal



  • Demonstrated ability to process a high number of invoices on a weekly basis

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment with minimal direction

  • Proficiency in SAGE

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
