Business Operations Manager (Auto) - Venice, CA

Credit Karma is working to make financial progress possible for everyone. The BizOps team plays a pivotal role in this mission and every part of our business by regularly driving operational discipline and clarity on performance and priorities to make verticals & Credit Karma successful at achieving objectives.
We're looking for a Manager to partner with General Manager of our Auto vertical and serve as the BizOps lead on their leadership "Core" team. This role will be based in our Los Angeles office and will require travel of one week per month to our San Francisco office.
What You'll Do:
Serve as thought partner and sounding board to GM to help them drive data-driven decisions
Facilitate strategic planning and provide independent perspective on viability of plans to achieve goals, as well as on resource prioritization and allocation
Identify opportunities to leverage the platform, other verticals, strategic partnerships and acquisitions to grow the business. In the event of an acquisition in the vertical, drive acquisition integration
Serve as the connective tissue of a cross-functional Vertical Core Team to enable it to function effectively: Establish regular forum for discussion of highest priority topics and for decision making, Ensure consistency across initiatives, Track performance (develop operational dashboards for specific initiatives and overall KPIs), Drive cross-functional clarity on under- and over-performance (in-depth analyses)
Manage key communication / decks to Executive Committee and Board of Directors
Provide regular insight into industry trends
Lead strategic projects to inform longer-term growth planning and operationalize select strategic initiatives
Ensure appropriate level of consistency within BizOps team across vertical Core Teams

What We Expect:
5+ years of relevant work experience
MBA or BA/BS degree in Business, Economics or related field
Strong analytical chops and ability to problem-solve and understand key drivers of the business
Ability to drive forward complex projects with minimal guidance and oversight
Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate, present and debate recommendations with all levels of management
Proactive and passionate self-starter with bias towards action and constant prioritization
Strong cross-functional experience with team-first attitude
General athlete with preferred background in management consulting or related field

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
