Senior Events Coordinator

About the role
Our team is growing and we are looking for a Senior Events Coordinator to manage and execute our company's participation for all events, including third-party conferences, corporate-hosted executive events, regional user groups, etc. You'll ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints. The ideal candidate will be, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.
The Senior Event Coordinator will work effectively with internal teams to flawlessly deliver programs that drive results against established strategic objectives, timelines, and financial goals. Our ideal candidate should have knowledge and expertise in the tradeshow industry, thrive under pressure, love to travel, and have a passion for exhibit production and logistics.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of events including: project planning, logistics, budgets, communications, production, site planning, vendor management, event staffing, run of show programs, promotional items and gifts, event speakers, scripts and keynotes, creative problem-solving, analysis and reporting
Learn the Signal Sciences products at a high-level so you can speak to it in the booth and at other events
Provide on-site and often after-hours days/weekends of support to host, set-up and staff events
Coordinate, negotiate and manage all vendor contracts, catering, rentals, AV, security, and janitorial support and event talent/entertainment
Work with key stakeholders on event strategies as part of an overall marketing strategy, contributing innovative ideas, concepts and tactics and to maintain brand consistency across all events
Foster positive internal and external relationships being attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous and professional in a pleasant demeanor
Desired Qualifications
3-5 years of of relevant event management experience required
Must want to have fun and excited to work face-to-face with people
Ability to deal with ambiguity and create frameworks and plans to solve unstructured problems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
