Recovery Support Staff

Reporting to the Recovery Support Supervisor, the Recovery Support Staff (RSS) provides
the operational support to facilitate the delivery of optimal clinical services
to clients. They will ensure that clients adhere to the day-to-day program
schedule, tracking attendance as required. Conduct routine facility checks to
ensure facility safety and security. The RSS reviews client property/items upon
admission or receipt to ensure compliance with facility and program rules along
with conducting contraband searches and drug screen analysis administration in
accordance with policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
+ Bachelor's
Degree in related field (preferred).OR
+ 1-year
experience in the field (residential facility, drug, and alcohol counseling)
and High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Willing
to obtain drug and alcohol certification.
EXPERIENCE:
+ Two
years? experience working with substance abuse population preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
+ Ability
to work in a fast-paced environment and exercises independent judgment and
leadership, analyze situations accurately, and communicate effectively.
+ Ability
to write clear and concise reports that utilize data.
+ Must
show an aptitude for service and for working as part of a multi-disciplinary
team.
+ Must
maintain a valid CA Drivers? License, have proof of automobile insurance and
maintain a safe driving record based on Phoenix House policy.
+ Must show an aptitude for working as part of a team Phoenix House conducts as needed, job-related background checks, fingerprints, drug testing, physical exams, medical exams, TB testing, verification of employment history and/or reference checks prior to employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
