The GT6 was a predecessor of the small fastback category and emulated later by the 240Z (often confused with one, except sits lower).
It was designed by Giovanni Michellotti who is credited with over 20 Ferraris, amongst other famous European brands.
This car is truly a baby E-type, in terms of form and technology.
Of the three GT6 variants the MK2 (this car) had the most superior suspension and best performing motor (pre emissions, upgraded from the MK1) while retaining the rear end.
Its styling is one of the last 1960s European styled imports into the US.
